Stonepeak completes acquisition of ATSG
Stonepeak has completed its USD 3.1 billion acquisition of the Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), which was announced in November 2024, making the global provider of freighter aircraft leasing a privately-held company.
ATSG’s shares have ceased trading on Nasdaq, following shareholder approval in February. CEO Mike Berger highlighted that private ownership will strengthen ATSG’s ability to deliver value to customers and employees.
With a fleet of Boeing B767s, Airbus A321s and A330 freighters, ATSG provides leasing, airlift and support services worldwide. Backed by Stonepeak’s expertise in infrastructure and logistics investments, ATSG aims to expand its market presence and build on its strong operational base.
The acquisition reflects Stonepeak’s strategy of investing in defensive, asset-backed sectors with long-term growth potential. (ah)
