Stena strengthens Swedish network
Stena is now the sole owner of NTEX, another Swedish transport company, which adds 20 branches and a large fleet of trucks to its portfolio. Stena became a majority shareholder of NTEX in 2020 and until recently had acquired 75% of the shares. With the additional 25%, the company has now taken over NTEX's network.
With facilities in twelve different countries in Europe and 1,500 trucks with 16 terminals and warehouses, NTEX has a strong presence in the region.
For founder Thomas Ström, the takeover brings mixed feelings, but he thanked the company’s 1,000 employees for their support and contribution. With the increased capacities, Stena can now focus more on the European market. (mk)
