Stef buys Langdon
Stef has extended its geographic coverage in Europe to UK. The French logistics player and the Nagel-Group have signed an agreement regarding the acquisition of Langdon Group.
Specialising in temperature-controlled transport nationwide, Langdon Group is also involved in the currently difficult import and export trade of chilled and frozen food between UK and continental Europe. The deal affects 1,400 employees and eight sites in Great Britain.
The company handles close to 2.7 million pallets a year on behalf of its 2,000 customers and recorded a GBP 147 million (EUR 175 million) turnover in 2020. The Nagel-Group acquired the company in 2004.
The selling price was not disclosed. The transaction is due to be completed by the end of 2021 and subject to approval from regulatory authorities. (sh)
