Stef: 23% increase in turnover in H1/2022
The French Group Stef achieved a turnover of more than EUR 2 billion in H1/2022, a growth rate of around 23%. Amongst others, the refrigeration transport company recorded capital gains from asset disposals totalling EUR 10 million.
In France, the fresh segment experienced good growth until the beginning of May, when volumes began to drop. The frozen business posted a lower filling rate for its warehouses following a customer quitting at the beginning of 2022 and higher prices for electricity.
On an international level, Stef consolidated its transport network dedicated to fresh and frozen food products in Spain with the acquisition of the TTC Group in Galicia in early July 2022.
The company is currently carrying out a major project in its Kölliken location in Switzerland and strengthening its position in the frozen products segment with its takeover of Frigosuisse in the German-speaking part of the country. In UK, the group is currently integrating the Langdons company which it acquired at the end of 2021. (sh)
