Standardising supply chain tech

The Scheduling Standards Consortium (SSC) has welcomed FourKites as a new member, the first real-time supply chain visibility platform to join the SSC.

J.B. Hunt and Uber Freight came together in 2022 to establish SSC and combat friction within the supply chain. Since then, the consortium has aimed to simplify supply chain tech and bridge the gap between shippers, carriers, and intermediaries.

In October of last year, SSC endorsed a universal standard for an API which allows carriers to interact through one interface. Here, FourKites’ expertise comes in, as the company will work to develop the API and accelerate its adoption in its network.

“A single API between our slot manager solution and our shippers’ carrier networks will create a frictionless operating environment for everyone involved,” says Mathew Elenjickal, founder and CEO of FourKites. (mk)
