Stadler changing executive board

The Stadler Group has announced a change to its executive board. Markus Sauerbruch, head of the group’s Swiss division and CEO of the Altenrhein plant, will hand over the Altenrhein plant to Markus Bernsteiner, currently head of the components division. The Swiss division will be managed directly by group CEO Thomas Ahlburg on an interim basis.

Markus Sauerbruch has decided to leave the company of his own accord due to differing views on its future strategic development. Bernsteiner will take over the management of the plant in Altenrhein in addition to his tasks as head of the components division.

A graduate of the HSG in St Gallen (Switzerland), Bernsteiner has worked for the rail vehicle producer since 1999, and been a group executive board member for 20 years. During that time, he successfully performed a range of tasks at top management level. (mw)
