Spare part for helicopter in time
The Northland Emergency Services Trust (Nest) in New Zealand got one of its Sikorsky S-76 rescue helicopters back in the air with an urgent AOG thanks to B&H Worldwide, also an aerospace logistics specialist.
Altogether, Nest owns three Sikorsky S-76 emergency rescue helicopters. The choppers are crewed by St John paramedic crew and also serve as the winch operators on search and rescue missions. They are an essential service.
The B&H teams in Singapore and New Zealand sprang into action to source the required part, which was located in Indonesia, put it onto a next-flight-out service into SIN and then onto the first flight to Auckland. The company then organised a dedicated time-critical vehicle to transport the mission critical spare parts the last 160 km by road to Whangarei where delivery was made the same day. (sh
