Spanish carrier receives first two Euro 6000
Transfesa Logistics has started operating UIC gauge trains after the company received the first two of a total of five Euro 6000 locomotives from Stadler Rail. Just a few weeks ago, one of the new UIC gauge locomotives began to pull the first Transfesa Logistics train with finished vehicles from Perpignan (France) to the Spanish Port of Barcelona on the international gauge track.
To achieve this milestone in its history, Transfesa Logistics has obtained an extension of the safety certificate that allows it to operate on the border section from Perpignan to Figueras (Spain) on UIC gauge.
The second of the new locomotives also entered service few days ago. The rest of the locomotives will be delivered during this year and in 2024. (ben)
