Southwest Cargo reveals refreshed product offering
Dallas (TX)-based Southwest Airlines Cargo has introduced a refreshed product menu designed to meet the changing needs of the air cargo industry. It provides customers with new options including a brand new product for perishable shipping needs known as “fresh fast”.
Other products guarantee shipments to be on the next available flight (“next flight guaranteed”, NFGSM), propose economic options (“southwest standard”") and promise support, care and respect in transporting loved ones to their final resting place (“with heart”).
This month’s product refresh comes as Southwest’s cargo continues its evolution. In the past 18 months, the carrier launched a new point-of-sale and back office accounting system, Southwest Cargo Suite (SCS), an international cargo service to six locations and a redesign of its website. (ah)
