South African wins Fiata’s last Yiffy award
Pandemic or not – Fiata, the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations, based in Geneva, and the international freight transport insurer TT Club, its partner since the inception of the Young International Freight Forwarder of the Year Award (Yiffya) in 1999, have chosen its latest winner.
Justin Goedhart, of the Fiata member association Saaff, the South African Association of Freight Forwarders, is 2021’s winner of the Young International Freight Forwarder of the Year Award (Yiffya).
In an online presentation the finalist from the Fiata region Africa and Middle East prevailed against his three competitors: Georgina Perez Perez (Ciffa, Canada), representing the Americas, Glauc Fornés Gil (Feteia, Spain) for Europe, and Muhammad Wasif Wiqar (Piffa, Pakistan) for the Asia-Pacific region.
The event was simultaneously the opportunity to launch next year’s competition – with a little twist. From now on the award will be called the ‘Young Logistics Professional Award’. (ah)
