SNCF to drive modal shift forward in Belgium
The Belgian rail freight operator Railtraxx and Captrain Belgium (part of SNCF) are to be merged into one new rail service provider that will operate under the name Railtraxx. A comprehensive action plan is in place to ensure a smooth integration.
The move creates a dynamic force to be reckoned with in the railfreight sector, according to the companies. SNCF will be a shareholder in the integrated company.
Railtraxx says its goal is to drive the modal shift forward through innovation and entrepreneurship. The combined entity has around 120 employees. (ben)
