Smart solutions to solve storage problems
Prévoté recently modernised its stock management, seeking to deal with logistics challenges through automation. The French logistics and transport company contracted Zetes, a specialist in supply chain optimisation, to develop a solution based on machine vision technology.
With the Zetes Medea full pallet inventory (FPI), barcode identification has now been integrated into each phase to ensure that the pallets can be accurately traced.
The FPI was installed on a forklift truck. Using Zetes’ image ID station, the truck can now correctly identify the codes and locations of pallets. The collaboration has enabled Prévoté to increase its inventory count from 100 to over 600 pallets per hour. (mk)
