Skyway Airlines picks Hactl for first international services
The new Filipino cargo carrier Skyway Airlines has appointed Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) as its handling agent for new freighter services to and from Hong Kong.
Hactl will provide terminal and ramp handling and documentation. Skyway launched the service three weeks ago, on 20 March, using 18 t-capacity Boeing B737-400Fs, operating six times weekly. Three flights serve its Clark base and three Manila. Hong Kong is its first international destination.
Driven by booming e-commerce demand, Skyway aims to meet the growing need for dedicated air cargo between the Philippines’ 7,000 islands and international markets. Skyway president and CEO Jose Angelo Peralta praised Hactl’s one-stop support, while Hactl’s Joanna Li welcomed Skyway as an important addition to its global carrier network. (ah)
