Skyteam welcomes ITA Airways
Kristin Colvile, CEO and managing director Skyteam (left), congratulated Alfredo Altavilla, executive chairman ITA Airways, for joining the global airline alliance, replacing Alitalia. With Italy’s new national carrier on board, Skyteam will continue to provide connections to key destinations across Italy.
Alitalia ceased operations on 14 October and left the alliance on the same date. ITA Airways is also working closely with Skyteam and its 19 members to roll out Skyteam-branded benefits that customers enjoy across the alliance which offers 15,445 daily flights to 1,036 destinations in 170 countries.
ITJ is going to check what that means for Skyteam Cargo, of which Alitalia Cargo was one of the twelve members, the others being Aeroflot Cargo, Aerolineas Argentinas Cargo, Aeromexico Cargo, Air France KLM Cargo, China Airlines Cargo, China Cargo, Czech Airlines Cargo, Delta Cargo, Korean Air Cargo and Saudia Cargo.
