Škoda Auto elects new board member
Andreas Dick has been appointed as a new member of the board to oversee production and logistics at Škoda Auto, effective 1 September 2023. As technical vice president, he is currently responsible for production, logistics and technical development at FAW-Volkswagen in Changchun in China. Dick succeeds Michael Oeljeklaus, who has led the department since 2010 and is now taking early retirement.
Dick joined the Volkswagen Group in 1998 after studying production engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig. His esponsibilities included heading the body construction segment at Volkswagen de Mexico and overseeing factory management at the FAW-Volkswagen plant in Changchun.
As from 2011, Dick supervised the development of a new plant in Foshan and subsequently took over as plant manager there. From 2016 to 2019, he headed the Volkswagen plant in Emden in northern Germany. (cj)
