SingPost sets strategy
Singapore Post (SingPost) completed a strategic review of the group last week, which has resulted in the creation of five initiatives for the next three years. With SingPost striving to transform from a postal organisation into a major logistics player, its board has now approved various measures which will keep its growth strategy active and competitive.
Firstly, the group will be reorganised into three business units of Singapore, Australia and International, providing flexibility and regional focus. It will also be taking steps to identify non-core assets and investing in those that support growth. Part of this is the transformation of its dividend policy.
In Singapore, the company is looking to re-engineer urban and e-commerce logistics, while in Australia, the focus is on achieving scale. Lastly, the international business unit will pursue e-commerce and cross-border service offerings. (mk)
