Sievert Logistik joins Logcoop
Sievert Logistik is now part of Logcoop's B2B/B2C forklift truck network. By joining this cooperation, the logistics services provider is responding to changes in the end consumers' purchasing behaviour. Currently, customers are ordering ever-bulkier goods to be delivered directly to their doorstep.
Sievert will handle the transport of long pipes, cumbersome fence parts or large playground equipment with several partner companies in future, using a joint hub and spoke system.
The network operates 450 trucks including forklift trucks and 20,000 sqm of storage space spread across ten locations in Germany.
In the long term, Sievert intends to expand from its focus on the eastern European market and advance further into the e-commerce-fulfilment segment. The network provides a good base for these plans, and the membership opens up new opportunities for partnerships. (mw)
