Siemens extends Simon Hegele's contract
As from 1 April 2022, electric and power engineering manufacturer Siemens Energy will allocate a further range of logistics services to the Simon Hegele Group, including comprehensive workshop operations.
The logistics service provider is already working for Siemens Energy at its Forchheim site in Germany. The expanded portfolio of activities in the steam and gas turbine business will be handled at the Duisburg logistics centre and at Siemens Energy in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
These expanded services comprise, for example, the return management of rental tools, maintenance and repair, including mechanical and electrical testing, as well as extensive services for the coordination of goods flows. To fulfil its contract, Simon Hegele is investing in certifications and the creation of more than 50 new jobs. (sh)
