SIA Cargo adopts Envirotainer's "Releye"
Singapore Airlines (SIA) has approved Envirotainer's temperature-controlled "Releye" RLP container for use on board its freighter and passenger aircraft.
These containers, which are powered by rechargeable batteries and can maintain the shipment’s integrity for over 170 hours on a single charge, will enhance SIA’s capabilities in the transportation of time-sensitive and temperature-controlled pharmaceutical cargo. Their fully integrated live monitoring system allows customers to track various aspects of the shipment’s condition such as location, temperature, and humidity, as well as the battery levels of the unit.
With the newest addition, SIA offers a wider range of active and passive containers from leading temperature-controlled solution providers as part of its "Thrucool" cold chain service. (ah)
