Shuttles now run on electricity
The Nosta Group is now shipping goods for Felix Schoeller emission-free, with the two companies having jointly purchased three electric Volvo FHs for this purpose. The trucks carry paper products to and from the Felix Schoeller plant in Weissenborn, Germany.
Nosta has installed three charging points at the plant and the interim storage facility to supply the trucks with electricity during loading. The switch to electric trucks saves up to 160,000 kg of CO2 and also significantly reduces noise pollution during transport.
Nosta handles around 3,000 journeys for Schoeller every year, with the trucks travelling almost 140,000 km and moving 55,000 t of material. (ben)
