Setting standards for implementing the MSW
Malaysia is at the forefront of global efforts to implement the Maritime Single Window (MSW) ahead of the International Maritime Organisation's mandatory deadline of 1 January 2024.
Now, Dagang Net Technologies, which operates the country's National Single Window for Trade Facilitation, and its partner, Mumbai-based logistics IT services provider Kale Logistics, have been awarded the Malaysia MSW contract by Port Klang Authority and its nine subsidiary ports.
Under the contract, both parties will jointly develop and implement the MMSW platform, connecting Malaysia's ports to create the largest network of tech-enabled ports in a single country.
Kale co-founder and director Vineet Malhotra: "Kale is helping Malaysia to set new standards of innovation in the region and establish benchmarks for other countries to follow with the implementation of MMSW." (ah)
