Self-controlled cargo flights from Riga
Venipak Group, an international parcel delivery company headquartered in the Netherlands, is expanding its services to help meet the surging demand for freighter cargo shipments in eastern Europe.
Launched last Saturday, 18 September 2021, the weekly direct cargo flight Riga-Hong Kong-Riga will cut down on transit time and costs for international businesses that are currently hampered by difficulties and restrictions in passenger flights and ocean shipment disruptions.
Commenting on Venipak's choice of the European station, Artūrs Saveļjevs, member of the board of Riga International Airport: "This confirms that the ongoing work to develop and strengthen our cargo segment is a step in the right direction and that our customers appreciate the potential of Riga airport as a Baltic air hub, including in the air cargo sector."
