Second cargo route from Kenya to India
Following the recent refurbishment of a B787, Kenya Airways Cargo has launched a direct freighter service between its Nairobi hub and the Indian capital New Delhi. The first uplift of 33 t from New Delhi included pharma, medical equipment, machinery and spare parts, time critical shipments and general merchandise. Since October 2020, Rainbow Aviation has been acting as Kenya Airways' cargo GSA for India.
At present, the African carrier operates weekly three B737 PAX and twice-weekly B787 preighters from Mumbai to Nairobi.
Dick Murianki Kenya Airways Cargo director: "We will continue to offer seamless connections in India to Nairobi, and the rest of Africa, including destinations such as Accra, Ghana; Lagos, Nigeria; and Lilongwe, Malawi." (ah)
