Seafrigo snaps up CNMP
In the French port of Le Havre, the CNMP Group (Compagnie Nouvelle de Manutentions Portuaire) is changing hands. The Seafrigo Group, which specialises in temperature-controlled logistics worldwide, has received the green light from the authorities for the takeover.
CNMP is the last independent container terminal operator located in Le Havre, with capacities to handle vessels from 10,000 to 14,000 teu. The company handled 240,000 teu in 2022. It is also a container drayage operator and offers a number of services for out-of-gauge cargo. All 380 employees – mostly longshoremen – will join Seafrigo Group in due course.
Currently, Seafrigo Group has its own infrastructure in 25 countries and has built a network of partners on a global scale. With an EUR 700 million revenue per year and a workforce of approximately 2,000, the group sees potential for further organic and inorganic growth. (cd)
