Sea & Ports expands in Libya
Sea & Ports Group, a maritime services provider, has secured an exclusive agency agreement with HMM (Hyundai Merchant Marine) in Libya. This development follows the company’s previous expansion into Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria in 2022.
The partnership, which includes Etihad as a local subagent, is based on Sea & Ports' established relationship with HMM in Spain and Portugal. José Miguel Tortajada, managing director of MAHS, the HMM business unit in Sea & Ports, noted that the new cooperation in Libya was in keeping with the company's objective to increase its portfolio of maritime services in the Iberian Peninsula and North Africa.
The strategic move is expected to enhance Sea & Ports’ role in the global maritime sector, and the collaboration with HMM and Etihad will open up more opportunities in the North African maritime landscape. (pb)
