Schuon renews a quarter of its fleet
The Schuon, a specialist for jumbo shipments, system transportation and individual logistic concepts, has invested EUR 5 million in its vehicle fleet by adding 86 new vehicles this year.
The acquisitions comprise 40 traction units and trucks of the premium brands Daimler und MAN, 35 trailers and semi trailers as well as transporters and truck-mounted forklifts. The vehicles are destined for locations in Germany and Hungary.
Within this project, Schuon has also bought natural gas powered trucks for the first time. The five LNG HGVs manufactured by Iveco and Scania are scheduled to be put into service by the end of this year at the latest.
With the new purchases, the family-run company now has a modern, 350 units strong fleet that complies with current emission standards, Schuon said. (ben)
