Schneider takes over Nova Traffic
Basel (Switzerland)-based freight forwarder Schneider Group has augmented its network by acquiring the logistics company Nova Traffic, which runs offices in Kloten and Embrach (canton Zurich). The two groups of companies decided to merge when Nova Traffic announced intention to speed up its preparations for the succession.
The Schneider Group, of which the private equity company Invidion holds a stake, will take over 100% of Nova Traffic's shares from managing director and owner Daniel Stein. In return, Stein will acquire shares of the Schneider Group and join the company's management. He will also continue to lead Nova Traffic.
Stein says: "We speak the same language and pursue the same values. All will benefit from our shared path. I personally are pleased that by partnering with the Schneider Group I was able to ensure a durable future for my employees and my company." (mw)
