Schenker to open semiconductor site
DB Schenker is expanding its semiconductor logistics portfolio and developing a new 18,000 sqm hub near Amsterdam.
At this location, the logistics provider will be able to operate 12,000 sqm of space for its storage, cross-docking, vendor managed inventory and returns services. Unit-load devices will support airfreight transport.
The hub will serve as another base for DB Schenker to build on its partnerships with semiconductor manufacturers following the European Chips Act. Construction has already begun, and the site is set for completion in autumn 2025, adding to DB Schenker’s network of 18 semiconductor logistics facilities. (mk)
