Scheduled direct train launched in Russia
Transcontainer and Global Ports (both part of Delo Group) have introduced a service to transport imports from Nakhodka (Southeast Russia) to Kazan (Southwest Russia). The new train will load containers arriving from Asia-Pacific countries in Vostochny port. The estimated travel time to Kazan by rail is ten days.
The service will initially run three times a month, with plans to increase the frequency in the future. It focuses on electrical equipment, consumer goods, and raw materials for industrial enterprises. Direct transports without transhipment in Moscow enable the providers to optimise logistic solutions and reduce delivery times for final consignees, Transcontainer said. (ben)
