Scannell Properties buys first real estate in Germany
The American real estate development and investment company Scannell Properties has reached a milestone in its European expansion strategy by acquiring a first 150,000 sqm development area in Germany. The site in Kitzingen (Bavaria) is centrally located and well-connected to the local transport networks.
Scannell is proposing to develop a number of high-quality industrial and logistics units, ranging in sizes between 5,000 and 25,000 sqm. The building of high-bay warehouses is also an option on the site. Scannell is already holding talks with various interested parties and is open to other potential users looking for such properties.
Amaury Gariel, managing director Europe at Scannell, said: “The acquisition of our first development land in Germany is an important moment for everyone in the company. We owe this success to the hard work of our German team. It perfectly fits our strategy to develop flexible space for occupiers in high sought-after locations.”(mw)
