Sawn timber wagon arrives in Finland
The first wagon of the new Habins sawn timber wagons ordered by Fenniarail has arrived at the port of Hamina, Finland.
The Finnish carrier has been working for a long time to make sawn timber transports more efficient. Based on an investment decision in 2020, the company began to acquire a new, more efficient sawn timber wagon for the Finnish rail network.
The first wagon has undergone test drives in Estonia. Test drives will continue in Finland in the coming weeks. The Habinswagon is 23 m long,3.4 m wide and 5.3 m high. It has a carrying capacity of 60 t and a tare weight of 30 t. (ben)
