Sats JV: a multi-modal hub for a new airport
Aisats, a 50:50 joint venture company owned by Singapore-based aviation services provider Sats in partnership and Air India, has been selected to design, build, finance and operate an integrated "multi-modal cargo hub" at the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh.
The five-tier MMCH is the first of its kind in India and will comprise an "integrated cargo terminal" and an "integrated warehousing and logistics zone" to be built over 35,200 sqm of land.
Western Uttar Pradesh and the National Capital Region are home to multiple large industrial clusters of textiles, electronics, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, and perishables. Positioned as the gateway to the rapidly growing North India region, the airport will be Delhi’s second major international airport when its completed at the end of 2024. (ah)
