SaniStop campaign for truck drivers launched
Because of the corona crisis, many service stations and rest stops have severely reduced their operating hours and some of them have closed their sanitary facilities completely. Professional drivers are therefore often not able to comply with the basic hygiene requirements such as just washing their hands.
The fuel and service card provider UTA has now launched the SaniStop campaign in cooperation with the DocStop initiative. As part of this campaign, freight forwarders, shippers, rest stops, filling stations and other companies now offer professional drivers truck parking spaces with access to toilets and showers.
Meanwhile more than 150 contact points across Germany have joined the SaniStop campaign. (ben)
