SAL moves into new Riyadh facilities
Saudi Arabian Logistics (SAL), a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Airlines, has moved some of its services to the newly-launched facilities at Riyadh airport, where operational capacity has doubled and will reach 450,000 t a year at a total area of 67,000 sqm. There are ten aircraft aprons and 15 docks for truck handling.
This comes in line with SAL's new operational plan aiming to enhance ground-handling services and streamline the cargo acceptance procedures through the village, which is a global integrated logistics platform for cargo and supply services.
During the first phase launched on 20 April, SAL will provide important quality services such as export cargo handling, domestic cargo handling and express mail services from its new venue. (ah)
