SAL changes CEO

Air cargo handler Saudi Logistics Services (SAL), which operates at all of Saudi Arabia’s airports, has appointed Eng. Hesham bin Abdulla Alhussayen as CEO, replacing Omar Hariri, who will move to Saudi Ports Authority as CEO, effective 1 July 2021.

The new CEO brings over 25 years of experience in leadership positions in several Saudi companies and is currently SAL’s COO. Alhussayen: “SAL is moving ahead with our vision to be the logistics partner of choice in a dynamic and globally connected Saudi Arabia as per vision 2030.”

Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Fawaz, chairman of SAL, thanked Hariri for his two year service as CEO: “Under his leadership, SAL became an independent joint stock cargo ground handling company carved out from Saudi Airlines Cargo Company which resulted in higher quality and more efficient services.” Hariri also steered the company through the challenges of the pandemic.
