Safety measures for TEN-T Corridor

Rail Baltica, the consortium that will oversee the construction of a 1,000 km railway segment of the North Sea-Baltic Corridor, has awarded engineering company Rina to define safety, reliability, availability and maintainability requirements according to European standards.

The contract amounts to EUR 510,000 and the project will be finalised within a year. The North Sea-Baltic Corridor, which connects Finland to Belgium and crosses Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia, is part of the Trans-European Transport Network project (TEN-T), the EU Commission’s programme for the development of a Europe wide network of infrastructure.
