Safeen Group launches UAE-Kuwait ro-ro service
Safeen Group, part of AD Ports Group, is introducing a direct ro-ro shipping service between the UAE and Kuwait. The carrier says that the new offering will reduce long-haul road journeys, enhance driver safety, and cut carbon emissions.
The service will deploy the “SSF Ania”, doubling the typical trailer weight capacity, saving time, and promoting sustainability. With accommodations onboard, truck drivers can focus solely on the first and last mile of delivery.
This development follows the launch of a new weekly container shipping service from Khalifa Port to Shuwaikh Port earlier this year.
Safeen Group sees the new ro-ro service as a contribution to a more connected and eco-friendly future for the industry, marking a significant step towards sustainable and efficient maritime business between the UAE and Kuwait. (pb)
