SAF-Holland reaches production milestone
SAF-Holland has reached a production milestone with its three-millionth axle manufactured at Plant 03 in Bessenbach, Germany. The site has been a hub for axle and suspension system production since 2000, particularly for the 'SAF Intra' series, used in 9-ton trailer operations. The product family includes members such as the 'SAF Trakr' electric recuperation axle and the 'Intradisc plus Intergral' with a two-piece brake disc.
According to the company continuous improvement, workforce continuity, and automation have enhanced plant productivity and quality. Looking ahead, SAF-Holland plans to expand with a new hub assembly line and logistics area from Q4 2025. Since 2024, the plant also generates up to 25% of its electricity from photovoltaic systems.
