RZD sets up hotline for freight transport
Russian Railways (RZD) has set up an emergency response centre to provide prompt support to shippers and ensure the coordination of all links in the transport chains during the fight to prevent and eliminate the spread of the novel coronavirus infection.
Based on the results from processing all the requests received in real-time, RZD will draw up a list of rapid response measures, as well as regulatory, financial and regulatory measures for consideration by the relevant authorities.
Furthermore, the railways have set up a separate hotline for freight transport. Aleksey Shiloh, deputy managing director of Russian Railways and head of the corporate transport services centre, will be in charge of the emergency response centre. (ben)
