RZD and KTZ create a roadmap

Russian Railways (RZD) and Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ) have agreed to develop a roadmap for the transition to the digital registration of export-import transportation. The two partners also discussed the further development of the activities of the United Transport and Logistics Company – Eurasian Rail Alliance (UTLC ERA), developed by the Russian, Kazakh and Belarusian rail enterprises.

In January-March 2021 the volume of freight traffic between Kazakhstan and Russia amounted to more than 21 million t, the same level as in Q1/2020. At the same time, container traffic showed significant growth. Its volume in 2020 came to more than 810,000 teu, 37% more than in 2019. (ben)
