Ryder to operate new US east coast hub
Savannah Gateway Industrial Hub (SGIH) in Georgia, USA, has completed delivery of a new import distribution space to serve the park's second tenant. Operated by Ryder Logistics, the facility joins A&R Logistics' new rail-served export operations in the park's first million sqm of industrial operations.
Serviced by Omnitrax managed rail services, SGIH provides dual-rail service from CSX and Norfolk Southern. The Georgia Ports Authority expects to move more than 5.0 million teu in the current fiscal year.
Savannah's terminal operations, road and rail connections, and third-party service providers, continue to attract strong import and export interest, SGIH said. (ben)
