Roll Group enlarges its fleet
The Rotterdam (the Netherlands)-based Roll Group has introduced another module carrier into its fleet. After the extension of its land-based activities into Asia in 2019 with the opening of new offices in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, the group now officially took ownership of an additional vessel from the market.
With a length of 146 m, a width of 32 m and 12,285 t deadweight this carrier is slightly smaller than the current module carriers in the fleet but has a wider deck space. The newly acquired vessel was originally built in 2015, and will soon be renamed “Big Roll Biscay”.
Adriaan Aarts, Roll Group CEO commented: “We are convinced this is a good investment considering the improving outlook for the years ahead. We expect many developments in the near future and have identified a need for additional tonnage to serve our clients in the oil & gas and offshore wind markets.” (mw)
