Rohlig banks on Swissness
Switzerland remains an attractive environment for business. The Bremen-based company Röhlig Logistics continues to expand its global network, this time in Europe. The group established a new branch office in Switzerland on 1 September 2022 in order to extend its coverage of the German-speaking countries.
The Swiss branch will be affiliated with Röhlig Germany and report to Dirk Schneider, managing director Röhlig Germany.
Schneider: "The DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) offers enormous market potential. We have successfully built up our network over recent years and expanded from Germany to customers in Switzerland. For our new branch office, we will retain pre-existing structures and gradually hand them over to our new colleagues in Zurich." The focus will be on transports to and from Asia, USA, and Latin America.
The family-owned and -run company was founded in 1852, employs 2,300 staff members in more than 30 countries worldwide and generated a gross profit of EUR 213 million in 2021, compared to EUR 140.4 million in 2020 (+34%). (cd)
