Röhlig remained strong in 2020

Bremen (Germany)-based logistics company Röhlig is satisfied with its 2020 results in financial terms. Gross profit amounted to EUR 140 million and moves sidewards in comparison to 2019. While gross profit in sea freight fell by around 2%, air freight gross profit increased by around 1%.

Germany contributed strongly to the results, mainly through the implementation of air freight charters. The Asian business also developed positively, as mainland China and Taiwan in particular recovered quickly from the cuts caused by the pandemic.

Mexico and country organisations in South America also performed well "and once again increased their results compared to 2019", as the company said in a press release.

Philip W. Herwig, managing partner at Röhlig Logistics: "It is very pleasing that we increased our ebit from EUR 5.2 million to EUR 11.8 million and thus achieved an ebit growth of 127%."

Röhlig expanded its contract logistics presence in 2020 with additional warehouses in Malaysia and China. Currently, the company has 21 warehouses in ten locations worldwide. (sh)
