Röhlig partnering on data highway
Bremen (Germany)-based Röhlig Logistics has made digital initiatives a part of its global strategy programme "Blue Star", focussing on digital customer service (including quoting, booking, track & trace), supply chain visibility and customer-specific reporting & analytics for supply chain optimisation.
Managing partner Philip W. Herwig explains: "We complement our transport solutions for air freight, sea freight and contract logistics with digital products and services. We already have a powerful IT organisation with more than 100 employees, which we are strengthening to accelerate our digital initiatives."
Röhlig Logistics has now formed a strategic partnership with Q.beyond AG, an IT service provider for digital end-to-end solutions, and Conrad Franchi, who has been leading the company's strategy development since 2016, has been appointed chief digital officer. (sh)
