Röhlig goes Madrid
The Bremen-headquartered logistics company Röhlig Logistics strengthened its footprint in Spain with the opening of an office in Madrid in early October 2023. The company, founded in 1852, was already present in Spain, with branches in Barcelona und Bilbao.
María Jesús Fernandez has been appointed branch manager and will be in charge of the new office. Her most recent position was head of the Madrid branch of Manuport Logistics.
Albert Mora, general manager at Röhlig Spain, explained the reasons for setting up the new location: “With Madrid-Barajas airport, Spain’s largest air cargo hub, and a dry port linking the city to Spain’s main seaports, Madrid boasts excellent infrastructure and is the Spanish region with the fastest import and export growth."
The Spanish capital is also the seat of a number of multinational shippers from various industries such as IT, pharma and healthcare, automotive and chemicals. (cd)
