Road haulier relies on bio-CNG fuels
DSV in Immingham, UK, has launched a trial with CNG Fuels. CNG Fuels’ supply of bio-CNG from a waste feedstock is verified and approved by the UK department for transport. Adopting bio-CNG fuel will contribute significantly to reducing GHG emissions.
There is evidence that a switch from diesel to bio-CNG results cuts emissions by over 90%. CNG Fuels expects to achieve a 100% carbon reduction by early next year, the road haulier said.
During the first week, the vehicle using CNG Fuels has already shown excellent performance results compared to diesel vehicles. For greener logistics, DSV relies not only on sustainable fuel but also on supply chain optimisation, sustainable warehousing, carbon offsetting and CO2 reporting. (ben)
