Rhenus to expand in Germany and Poland
Rhenus intends to acquire the medium-sized logistics group Loxx to strengthen its activities in Germany and Europe. The planned take-over is still subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.
Loxx generated a turnover of EUR 127.6 million in 2019 and has a clear commitment to international operations, particularly cross-border general cargo and LTL and FTL services.
The owner-managed logistics specialist focuses on the Rhine/Ruhr region in its German business. The acquisition not only involves the holding company at the German headquarters in Gelsenkirchen, but also other operational business sites in Pleidelsheim near Stuttgart (Germany) and in Warszawa, Poznań and Katowice in Poland.
