Rhenus builds rail loading facility
The port agency Rhenus Weserport Bremen, which is part of Rhenus Group, has previously focused on transferring cargo from seagoing vessels to trucks and inland barges.
It is now extending its railway line and building a new rail loading facility to better serve its customer Nabaltec, a global provider of fillers and alumina. Equipped with an automatic rail loading system, the facility is scheduled to go into operation at the end of 2024. Nabaltec will then be able to ship 70,000 to 140,000 t of aluminum hydroxide and aluminum oxide per year. (ben)
