Rhenus Alpina snaps up document destruction specialist
Rhenus Alpina is acquiring all of Dissolve Tech’s shares. The family firm, based in Fällanden, near Zurich (Switzerland), is a mobile document destruction specialist. Along with the shares, Rhenus is also taking over all patents, the mobile destruction vehicle and its special containers.
Some years ago, Dissolve Tech introduced a new process that revolutionised the destruction of document. The firm uses a special vehicle that dissolves paper files with water and without the use of chemicals on customers’ premises. This modus operandi produces long-fibre pulp, which is reused by the paper industry.
The new approach to the destruction of paper files aroused Rhenus Alpina's interest: CEO Andreas Stöckli said: "By integrating this innovative technology into our logistic network, we can expand our portfolio with this important business field. We see the move as an investment in the future." (mw)
